Original characters; but none of them are mine! Nian and Lobo belong to the illustrious Miss *exileddelusion ; they will tickle your funny bone, rock your socks, and - regardless of sex or orientation - Nian will make you hopelessly, ragingly, aroused. I can't believe it took me this long to draw them. The Tonberry (or, if you're old like me, the Pug) is copyrighted to Square and TOSE (1992).Cast: Nian and Lobo.
You may scoff, but NIAN KNOWS THE SCORE.
Poor Lobo - such a long-suffering friend. It takes a lot to stand by your manbuddy in the face of imminent 'DOINK's, but Lobo will do it!(BUT CROW)

(Haha. Lobo is really trying his best not to goose Nian, but when your partner's wearing a leather catsuit that's been through a mincing machine, there's only so many safe places you can put your hands.

Hahaha... yes indeedy. Tonberries must be treated like SRRS BSNSS! (Someday I ought to find a video where you actually get to see the DOINKing, though. But who'd want to record that? XD)
And waaugh, if my anatomies are actually getting any better, I have only the shameless osmosing I do offa folks like you to thank! ;^;
(And Lobo's feet are both my favourite bit of him and secret shame. xD They don't fit in at all with the rest of the picture but I LOVED THEM TOO MUCH TO NOT DRAW THEM.)

Haha. I imagine there's lots of grizzled old nerds who'd bite the face off of Kefka or Sephiroth without batting an eyelash, but the merest glimpse of a Tonberry sends even the most stoic adventurer scrambling for the hills. XD

I think Nian has not attended his Coping with Monsters classes so diligently. Behemoth approaches, dive into your friend's arms. Tonberry approaches, forget you ever had a friend.

The Tonberry is the monster that every would-be tyrant aspiring to godhood at the end of any Final Fantasy game has bed-wettingly terrifying nightmares about.
For in addition to such chestnuts as, "you spoony bard!" and "hate hate HATE hate HATE hate!", Final Fantasy has offered us the simple truth of another turn of phrase, that one being:
"OH GOD IT JUST KEEPS GETTING CLOSER."
"HOW MUCH HP DOES THIS THING EVEN HAVE - OH GOD THERE'S TWO MORE OF THEM, WE'RE HOSED."

Aaaaw, I'm so glad you like it, miss! ;~; I was deathly afraid of gettin' 'em wrong - apart from the usual worry of, "argh, this joke is so old, nobody's going to get that" - but I'm thrilled if I managed to capture their lovable dynamic together!
And of course, Del happiness is the greatest reward there is! It warms the cockles of my heart!
