Description . . .

A continuation of my bawdy humor Legam/Leliana comics. This one's probably a bit more subtler than Shoes and Thighs , but your mind's probably in the gutter if you get it nonetheless.

I included the Wynne joke because that batty old lady approves of the strangest things in game.

...

And now I feel like an old lady, talking like that.

Your page says 14 years old. I would define that as "young teen" because the teenage years span from 13-19, and you're only in the second year, not the middle. Has nothing to do with maturity, just age.

Hey, I was goofing around in fandoms and doing fan art when you were still learning to walk, you whipper-snapper! *Waves cane*

TheDalishRanger In reply to CocomoLizzy [2010-02-22 02:49:11 +0000 UTC]

Trust me, by the time you hit 19, you'll feel like you've been a teenager FOREVER. And when you hit 20 at last, you'll forget you're NOT a teenager anymore. Hell, I haven't been a teen in several years, and sometimes I forget that. Probably doesn't help that I'm short and wear t-shirt/jeans a lot, so I'm sometimes still confused for a 17-year-old. Sigh.

*Breaks her hip* xD

It's all relative and perceptive, methinks. Certain things drag, others rush by.

xD I know a lot of people cite drinking as another benefit of age, but, meh... Not much of one myself. The number of times I've had a beer/daiquiri since turning 21 I can count on both hands. But I had roommates who got drunk in college... Ugh. Not pretty.

CocomoLizzy In reply to TheDalishRanger [2010-02-23 03:18:46 +0000 UTC]

Yes, true. Guess since my life isn't full of eventful things it's dragging on and on, so my teen years are going to last forever

Bleh drinking. Good good you aren't of bad habit with it >.< It wrecks people

TheDalishRanger In reply to CocomoLizzy [2010-02-23 03:23:56 +0000 UTC]

Sounds like my teen years. I spent most of them drawing. Hung out with friends at school, but rarely outside of it (not until my senior year, at least). Never went to a single game or school dance, either. Don't regret it. Not a fan of big crowds.

There's nothing wrong with alcohol in moderation, but I never had the urge to "break loose" like so many do in college. I don't need to get drunk to know how much it sucks to be hungover. I saw enough of that with my roommates/neighbors to get a good enough idea.

Besides, I prefer remembering all my actions of the stuff I did, thanks. And most alochol tastes nasty to me. I can only stand daquiris and fruity malt beers because they don't have a strong alcohol aftertaste. Even then, I have one glass/bottle at a time. Most I had was two bottles over the span of about eight hours, while at home with no plans to go out. Ate food with it too, so it processes slower. If you're going to drink, that's the way to do it - with meals.

CocomoLizzy In reply to TheDalishRanger [2010-02-24 02:32:41 +0000 UTC]

Yeah that sounds like my teen years so far~ Big crowds can be pretty hectic I guess the word would be Guess you were never the one to stand up in the middle of class and shout then?

My parents have tried forcing into my brain drinking alcohol in any amount is bad, which is fine with me since I've never thought about drinking Drinking moderately though does sound like a much better deal than excessive alcoholism

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheDalishRanger In reply to CocomoLizzy [2010-02-24 02:44:34 +0000 UTC]

Hell no. It was like pulling teeth getting me to talk in class. Outside of class though? Total chatterbox. I somewhat got over it in college, but I still get nervous/hate speaking in front of crowds.

Alcohol isn't innately bad; in fact, a little red wine a day is actually good for your heart (too bad I hate wine). The problem is too many people try to drink it in excess. Lots of things are bad if you go overboard. Having a drink or two with food while hanging out is fine. Getting drunk and doing stupid stuff/getting sick/passing out is not.

None of my friends are really much of drinkers; once in a while at most. I've only ever seen one of my friends buzzed once, and he was depressed over breaking up with his girlfriend at the time. Thankfully, he had the presence of mind to let me drive his jeep when my roommate and I had to go home.

I love Wynne and her quirky, slightly (and generally, subtly) perverted ways.

The fact that she's one of the people overhearing Leliana just further mortifies Legam, since he - like Alistair - looks at her as a sort of grandmotherly figure.

No, actually, this was all me. I have said before I enjoy bawdy humor. (an old friend I converted to Bioware fandom a year or two back) have already joked about similar things on the IM (including Wynne's approval). I recalled it while trying to decide on what fan art to do next, and then just had to draw it.

I might like drawing Legam's embarrassed face/dorky ears way too much.

TheDalishRanger In reply to SuperSilkie [2010-02-21 05:22:08 +0000 UTC]

I preordered it and got it the day of release. Finished it 5 times on the Xbox by the end of December, then got the PC version for Christmas and beat it by a week or so after New Year's on my New PC. I had a lot of time to play it.

Also, I'd been waiting for Dragon Age to come out since it was first announced five-six years ago, so I pretty much shut myself off from everything but classes and sleep the first week it was out. xD

Ahhh, that makes sense. That's like me with KoTOR. I can't tell you how many times I've beaten that. Too many.....haha! Yeah it's a very re-playable game, which you don't see very often. And I'm excited for the expansion to be out next month!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheDalishRanger In reply to SuperSilkie [2010-02-21 06:07:52 +0000 UTC]

Ah, KOTOR... I lost track how many times I played that too. At very, very least, seven or eight. But such is true for most Bioware games I've played... Beat Neverwinter over 10 times (not counting expansion stories), Baldur's Gate II at least 7-9, Jade Empire 4-5, Mass Effect 10 times, and I've already beaten ME2 twice.

Me too! And I might actually be able to buy it right away, as I just finished some commissions and now have some spare cash!

SuperSilkie In reply to TheDalishRanger [2010-02-21 06:17:30 +0000 UTC]

I freakin LOVE bioware! Like seriously if there was one gaming company I'd work for it would be them. I've played Mass Effect but I haven't beaten it. And I have Mass Effect 2 but I've been 'busy' with dragon age haha. I hear Neverwinter and Baldur's Gate are good but have never played them. It's on my to-do list

And that's awesome! Yeah I need to start saving for that...or I'll need to trade in some of my games I work at gamestop so I'll get it for less but it's still gunna be like $35. And I plan on getting the new pokemon and that comes out the same month haha! And you do commissions huh? Do you have a link for info cause I might be interested!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheDalishRanger In reply to SuperSilkie [2010-02-21 06:22:25 +0000 UTC]

I've been a HUGE fan of Bioware since... Uh... 2002ish, when I was a wee little teenage fangirl. Now I'm a wee little young adult fangirl.

While Neverwinter Nights holds a special place in my heart as my first Bioware game, admittedly the main campaign story is... "Meh"; however, the expansion stories are pretty good and there's TONS of great fan-created modules and stories that make it worth buying.

Baldur's Gate II... Is tied with Dragon Age as my favorite game, ever. That's about all I can say without gushing for ages.

I don't buy a lot of games outside of a few action games and RPGs these days. Mainly because I just get sucked into them and replay them a billion times. So I play fewer games, but more often for each game - my brother's the opposite.

Yes, I do! Recent college grad who still hasn't found a job, so I opened up commissions a little while back to get some spare cash. Information's on my current journal entry on my main DA page. Just click my avatar.

SuperSilkie In reply to TheDalishRanger [2010-02-21 06:31:23 +0000 UTC]

LOL nice! I've always been a bioware fangirl ever since...well..Carth -blushes- I'M SORRY HE WAS JUST SO FINE. Then Alistair came along and I was like Carth? Who? XD

Well I'll take your opinions into consideration! Not that I'm bored with Dragon Age yet, but it'll also be good to have played them so I can talk to my customers about it I hate it when they're like 'HAVE YOU PLAYED ___' and I'm like no...and then they reply with 'WTF DO U NOT PLAY VIDEO GAMES??!!' haha

Yeah I tend to buy...lots of video games...then not play most of them XD Unless they are REALLY good. RPG always. Like Fallout 3 And Fable 2 was pretty good. And of course Dragon Age which is like my life right now XD

Alright well I'll go stop by that link then! Thanks!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheDalishRanger In reply to SuperSilkie [2010-02-21 06:40:05 +0000 UTC]

A lot of people were converted by KOTOR, and a lot of fangirls by Carth. I was already a long time fan, so I'm not one of them. I like Carth just fine - but like with Alistair, I prefer him in a "bromance" to a romance. But that's probably because 98% of the time I play male characters. I just find it more entertaining to play outside my gender. But that's why when I do fan art it almost always includes a male PC.

I think people forget video games are a very broad medium with many, many different genres and tastes. Even if you're well-versed, chances are there are things you haven't played. I don't care for FPS, for example - so I've never played Half-Life or Bioshock. And I'm sure for what they are, they're fine games. They just don't suit my tastes.

I enjoyed Fallout 3, but it makes me want to play the first 2. Alas, the only times I saw the originals on the shelves, I didn't have the money. Figures. I also enjoyed Fable I and II. In fact, the first Fable was a huge inspiration for my webcomic, though you'd never be able to tell unless I pointed things out. I tend to twist things around a lot when I'm inspired so it's my own thing.

Dragon Age has, somewhat sadly, been my life for the past three months. I managed to break away from playing it, but now I'm hooked on the fandom. And I rarely get actively involved in fandoms. Says a lot about Bioware and Dragon Age, methinks.
