well.. its a good painting but there are some thing that could make it much better..
first of all you need dynamic lighting.. and vibrant color... those two go hand in hand.. here the lighting is dull and with it is dullish colors..
do that better next time and your painting will look much much better.. otherwise its very well done

This is impressive. The proportion is slightly off, but not that nuch to really notice.
First off, the background kind of bothers me. It seems very cold and motionless.
I wish i could actually point out what needs to be worked on beacuse its hard to on the computer. Well I'll try my best.
The cloth between the sholder and arm seems too high up and makes the arm look off. I suggest dropping it to show the flesh under her arms so it could fit in. Also I suggest to lift the sholder seems like she dislocated her arm and is trying to cover it up.

Though this painting is very good with the pose and colours, the most dominating posative of this is the comforting feeling I get from it.. Lol, it resembles so closely my aunt Missy's style of painting and with that I get all sorts of fond memories of back on the farm and riding horses. Thankyou for that. Harshness I see in it all. I believe before going to human study if you haven't learned the technique, it would be best to try mixing colors and expanding your palette. If you just mixed some colors together it would help better to capture the shadows on her skin, which you used a totally diffrent shade to do so.
Sometimes its better to be suttle than suprizing.
