A New Group
Greetings members. We're proud to announce our first ever contest of the year. This year's theme is going to be a little different then usual. How different you may ask? Well, if your aren't already aware that the admins are preparing the group shop. All we need are new designs for the shirts that we're going to sell specifically for the shop. That's where you talented folks come in and create a unique design that fits the theme of the group. It can be literally anything so long as its fantasy related.
The Designs
Here are several examples that may give you a good idea what we're looking for on a shirt.
Left:More then one image is accepted. So has long as it isn't too big of a image.
Right:If the design has any sort of lettering it will be denied.
Rules
- Must be a member to join
- The design itself has to be original.
- Has to be fantasy themed
- No blood, gore, nor violence
- One entry per person
- OCs nor Fan work aren't accepted. Has to be 100% original
- Create a design that could be worn by both genders is encouraged
- Using a shirt template is required. If your unable to here's one you may use.

Hello!! I know it's late but I'm interested in participating. However, I was wondering... is it acceptable to have the DeviantArt logo included on your shirt? I noticed that one of the example t-shirts had it and need to know before I submit. Also, should our deviation be transparent, or does it matter. Thanks!!

If you can please don't add the DA logo on the shirt. The example shirt on the journal was just an example. Do whatever you wish on your entry so long as it follows the rules. You don't have a lot of time in submitting your entry. If you like we can extend the contest at least another 2 days.

I would like to enter, and would also like to ask a few questions.
1. Would you like the full design submitted, or should we alter it to fit on the T-Shirt template?
2. Are there going to be multiple T-Shirt color options, or are we keeping it to just white? (It will affect how/which colors I'll use
3. Is there a color 'limit' on the printed shirts? I remember that some T-Shirt printers have difficulty/inconvenience printing large variations of color on a single design, so I was wondering if I should stick to simpler shading techniques, like cell shading.

1. Something like this is recommended Frog Dragon Shirt Design Contest Entry . You can make it what ever you want it to look so as long as you have the template and a full look of the design.
2.Yes. There's going to be a full color option that any way shouldn't effect your design.
3.You may add as many colors as you want to the design so as long their coherent. There's no limit. Have tested the printer I own and it works with multiple color variations.

For Q2, I meant to ask if there are multiple colors of T-Shirts that the design will be printed on. Like, will you be printing the designs on only white T-Shirts, or will the buyers have other color options to choose from? Thanks again

If your worried that someone may steal it, don't worry. You may add a small signature or anything small in the drawings. Also a watermark would be most acceptable.

The shirts are going to be sold on Etsy and each will go for 15$. 30% of the proceeds will go toward contest, projects, and future charities. For the winners of the contest will be fully credited on the designs. We'll go in much more detail of the shop right after the contest. Have any more questions?

No. I'v invested in buying equipment in order to do the shirts myself. I found screen printing a bit expensive and the line in my local T-shirt store is always long.

Ive been sort of looking at those inkodye sun printing kits myself. Doing a detailed color image could be tricky too, but it incorporates the image directly into the fabric, which is kinda neat.

Screen printing is quite complicated. I'm not even sure how it works but it's complex. The shirts aren't going to be iron on. Instead there're heat pressed.

Download the shirt template and from there you can upload to any editing software like Photoshop to mess with. Still having troubles? You can make one yourself. That's also another option. Also thank you for joining. You've ben added to the list

I would like to make note that OC's Are by their nature "original" but I really Do agree with the reasoning behind it. Because let's face it:
Why would any artist or character designer want to put out any more temptation for their character to be stolen from them in a way that cannot be tracked?
