I getcha- I don't use pastel or charcoal pencils myself, though I've used both a couple times. If I had them/others then I'd likely try for a while, I dunno.

indeed I am ^_^
and pastels are kind of difficult to use... XP
kind of hard to hide any errors, and you have to seal it so it doesn't smear :I

honestly, I only use mechanicals because regular pencils hurt my hands :C
