From my experience, the only disposable diaper tapes that suck that badly are from Depends. X3 And even if that's a problem with disposables of far better quality, what's stopping this girl from wearing plastic panties over them, to keep everything in place? As for cloth, there's plenty of cloth diapers that are made with plastic buttons to fasten with.

Wearing cloth diapies with pins is a classic right for any ABDL.

Tru dat, my diapied homie. It's definitely something I'd like to experience at least once...

Oooohh, that's a very good question! X//3 Personally, I'm split between tied, blank and side-pinned. Tied seems like such a visually adorable means of being diapered, blank makes it feel like an extremely thick pull-up (which, while usually lacking in absorbency, feel great being slipped on and off, with much softer rims than actual underwear), and side-pinned looks more efficient and practical than a single pin in the front.
But that's just me, any of these you personally favor?

Well this one isn’t listed but... side pinned from the back. It’s notable with the Muppet Babies fabric pillows from back in the day. Row of is depicted as having a diaper that’s actually side-pinned from his behind. I always thought pinning from the back just had an easier feel to it when you’re on your belly and the diaper flaps have less to fight against with your butt.
Have you ever tried to wear a diaper backwards? That’s kinda what I’m talking about but also not exactly.

Huh, I've never thought of it that way, but that sounds like an incredibly practical way to pin a cloth diaper! X3 Moreso than tied, I'd say, due to the potential risk of the knots coming undone. While I can't say I've ever worn a diaper backwards (when it comes to diapering myself, I may be a baby, but I'm not stupid), I have seen how it looks before with a few amateurs doing so with disposables, so I have somewhat of an idea of what it's like.

While I love cloth diapers for their look, they definitely have that blood-drawing downside...

While I love the design of disposables moreso, I do have a soft spot for cloth.
When it looks like this:

that is certainly the more traditional triangle fold, though I decided to go with the two pin design. Just felt more appropriate. Each to their own.
