I HATE this photo.
This is a very powerful shot The background is stark and what little color exists is faded and feels as if it is dying and near dead.
The leave-less tree and the bone background capitalize on that deathlike starkness. and also bring perspective and detail.
Bent, sick, wretched, closed in,turned away ... and no one notices or cares. amazing portrayal..
I HATE this Photo !
This whole photo invokes exactly what the title says.
I have been there myself more than once and stared both within and without unto the abyss.
I know exactly what this portrays and exactly how this feels.
I would not hate anyone so much to gift to them this particular feeling.
The emotions it stirs are hammer blows from my eyes directly to those scars and why those scars still bleed..... and always will.
I HATE this photo.
Very VERY few pieces in ANY medium can attain perfection withing a specific genre, style or emotional impact.
This in my opinion hit the highest bar that any can attain.
it is ugly. It is hateful. Its is abhorant and loathsome.
It is also one of THE best pieces of work I have seen on DA in almost 10 years for what it intends and shows.
It is supposed to be ugly and hateful and abhorant and loathsome.
It is also supposed ( in my eyes) to be a warning of a personal place that should never be gone to or felt.
There is a reason my #1 Friend rule that I have had for decades exists. That rule is this. ~ " Never EVER let a friend feel that they are alone. "
You have my deepest congratulations on a creation that is hateful.
But in my opinion PERFECT .
