Description
The Polaris returns in all her glory. I've refurbished her, with the same method I did to my Enterprise model. How do you guys like her?Polaris by me

"Lock phasers on target," ordered Capt. Metlesits. "We have to keep that Tzenkethi ship away from the colony at all costs!"
On the viewscreen the Tzenkethi warship drew closer. Β It's crew had not heeded the Polaris's hails, in fact they didn't seem to notice the Earth ship in their path at all.
"Phasers are locked sir," reported the fresh faced Ensign at the helm. Β "Torpedoes are ready as well."
Metlesits nodded. Β "Take us in Ensign, half impulse. Β Keep us in their path." Β He tapped a finger on his chairs armrest. Β "Full power to forward shields only!"
There was a pause in activity on the bridge, but it soon passed. Β The crew had faith in their captain, and knew by now not to question his orders.
"Aye sir, full power to forward shields only."
The Tzenkethi ship was close now, and Metlesits felt that he could reach out and grab it with his right hand. Β "Any change in their course?" he asked, already knowing the answer.
"No change sir. Β They're still headed for the colony."
"Range?"
"Fifty thousand meters and closing!"
Scratching his chin, Metlesits shook his head. Β "Arrogant bastards aren't they?"
"Thirty thousand meters, sir!"
"Helm, prepare to go to full impulse. Β Take us above them on my order."
"Aye sir! "
"Full impulse...now!"
The Polaris surged forwards. Β On the screen the Tzenkethi ship appeared to leap at the First Fleet starship, but in reality it hadn't altered speed or course.
"Ten thousand meters, five thousand, four thousand, three thousand, two thousand..."
Metlesits raised his fist, and chopped it downwards. Β "Now, take us over them and fire phasers!"
At barely one thousand meters from the other ship the Polaris shifted course. Β The two vessel's shields bubbles connected at the same instant, and warred for supremacy. Β Having had all power shifted forwards, the Polaris's shields won the battle, and the Tzenkethi shields collapsed, falling inwards in a surge that overloaded several systems. Β Then, a split second later, Polaris unloaded her fury onto the now defenceless ship.
The twin cobalt beams struck the Tzenkethi hull, bathing it in a deep blue, before slicing through the ship as a warm knife would slice through butter. Β As the Polaris pulled away the barrage stopped, leaving the Tzenkethi cruiser gliding along its original path.
Slowly, the enemy ship came apart, it's bow section twisting awkwardly to port as the stern section powered on, it's engines carrying out the last order given. Β Then, the bow detonated, the shock wave of its death crumpling the stern section until, inevitably the engine core breached. Β In the blaze of a short lived sun, the Tzenkethi ship vanished.
Safely out of danger, the Polaris executed a graceful roll and headed back to the colony. Β With Capt Metlesits guarding the heavens, the colony's future was secure.

Man, this is epic!
One thing though: the Tzenkethi are allies. The enemies are the Kzinti.

This is a rogue faction of Tzenkethi, one that wants to break their people's ties with the Federation, at any cost.
