Something about this guy makes him look like he's about to burst into overjoyed tears, as opposed to, say, try and eat you alive. ; I don't know, maybe that was the intended effect?
That said, the shading work on this is lovely, especially in the frills and eyes. It looks as though the teeth were left mostly flat, though. The blood's a nice touch, but I'd kind of like to see them glint. And I really happen to like those two antennae (?) that come from behind his head, mainly because I can't tell what they are. Weird hearing organs, perhaps?
