Made a helm for halloween!Duration: ~12 days
Materials used:
-EVA foam
-cardboard
-leds/cloth/acrylic

Thanks! I use hot glue, but I hear contact cement is the way to go. I just suck with it, haha..

what did you use for the eyes? Could you show me a photo of the inside of the helmet? I'd like to know how the LEDs and the battery pack are fixed in place and all 
I've experimented with christmas lights in the past but I see no need for that many lights in a helmet with just two eyes so I was wondering how you did the electrical work in this thing

Battery is fixed towards the end of the beak (make sure it doesn't hit your forehead or you'll have a nice battery shaped imprint). I used LED strips mostly because I had a lot left over from another project. I think 2 lights on each side should be enough. I have a switch that runs to the edge of the helmet so it can be turned on and off.

Working with EVA foam isn't hard at all... Once u get the basic shape of the helmet set out (ie no additives on it) then u can clean up the edges and then add the extra pieces on it! I intend to make Azir for Nekocon 2015 here in VA... Slow start tho due to expenses...

No need for apologies all comments are welcome.... Nekocon is in Hampton VA and usually the first weekend in November.... Unfortunatly I will not be finishing Azir... To much work for me plus I'm still a novice.... There's also a few other local conventions here in VA ie ROFCon and AMA... Look them up and consider attending... I carved in some scars with a dremel, and EVA foam/paper clay has a nice texture to it. I drybrushed over to bring those out.

I love it, very smoothly finished! Wanted to put azir on my cosplay list but khazix classic and splash art shyvana is also already on there T_T

I'm not sure yet. I'm going to try making some stilts.. if those are a success, i'll be making a full thing. Good luck on kha and shyv! Those will keep you busy for a while, lolol.
