Description Loch Orh of the Volstoc Highlands is as vibrant a land as it is with its waters. As cattle graze the verdant highlands a rich variety of fish swim in the vast Loch Orh.
Central to Loch Orh is the peninsula of the Kingdom of Volstoc, a land mass that has very little natural access from land as most sides are completely surrounded by the waters of the Great Loch itself.

Two bridges, Arde and Quern, were constructed in order to aid the ease of prosperity and expansion of commerce for the Volstoc Kingdom. Very few invaders to the kingdom, by land or water have been near successful at breaching the peninsulas outer defences.

The few points of entry by land have become highly fortified over the centuries and have become so robust that the only weakness to befall them would be sheer abandonment of duty by the Royal Army which has been punishable by death most recently.

Those that have tried to attack by water have never come near successful in breaching the ‘coastal’ entry points. Despite the peninsula being trapped by a Great Loch the centuries of Kings of Volstoc have never dismissed the idea of an invasion by water so it was decided long ago to develop and maintain a sizable fleet of schooners that are capable of tightly patrolled routes and immediate engagement. Despite the highly unlikely event of an invasion by water, what invader what be willing to haul a fleet of ships over mountainous terrain? The Kings of Volstoc have never been complacent and this has been proven to a tee to this very day.

This image was created using VUE 2014 Complete and comprises of 18 million polygons @ 19 hours render time.

An example scene where this image was used can be found here ( cynickalcyn.deviantart.com/art… ).
Loch Orh of the Volstoc Highlands is an area of land that I’m using as a backstory for a Turtle project that I’m basing my fantasy images upon.
