This is the first time I've drawn something celebrity-related .
As soon as I saw that onesie, I knew I had to do draw it! Took me a about 3 days.
In case you don't know the song : [link]

I'm not really satisfied with this one. I attempted to achieve a certain degree of likeness (had I succeeded I would have dropped the "inspired" from the title) which caused two problems: I strayed from the comic book path since I tried to instil some realism and that same quest for realism made me attempt realistic shading, which was bound to fail as I can only do comic bookish colouring. So the result awkwardly stagnates between the realms of portrait and comic book.

Also I used an insane amount of layers! I feel like I should go to AA for my (ab)use of layers!

This sounds like something a criminal would say to justify/glorify their dodgy lifestyle - "The shady is awesome".

I liked Jessie J more when she had that badass persona going on. That particular song is extremely out of character for someone like her, and even her voice sounds different, but it's very catchy.

The shading is fine for the picture.. it actually suits it.. I don't think a realistic kind of shading would have worked with this, but you'll soon get the hang of it seriously you should see my first attempts at shading realistically on the computer xD you did a way better job.
Also Kudos for switching straight from anime to a sort of realistic style. the anatomy is great.. but then again you never fail there. and the patience you must have had to draw all those designs on her outfit... I wouldn't have done that xD great over all!

I'm always biting off more than I can chew. I am not even planning to master realistic drawing and colouring, it's just that I can't stand feeling limited and I want to be able to do everything. But that's a one way ticket to DisasterVille. I have to pick my battles and focus on one thing if I ever hope to be truly great at it. Even full time artists stick to one style. Me I'm still a student with so many things to do other than drawing. All the more reason to stick to a single style from now on or work at finding my own.

It was actually a bit tricky going from anime to this. My proportions get messy very easily if I don't pay attention. Usually it will translate into big heads. My Ashe drawing had a massive head and tiny hands because I drew it after drawing chibis for 2 months! XD

As regards the outfit, you're talking to the fool who drew a whole Cyclopean wall of ancient engravings of madness for the Dagon drawing. By comparison those little thingies on Jessie's outfit were actually fun to do!

Anyway I wanted to do something about Domino. I did it. Now I can move on to the 3 new video series that I've been planning to do since the end of 2011! I'm so excited about them I don't know where to start!
