I love the subtle tones and direction of light, and the composition is excellent. I like the tension created to the left of the frame, with the light tones of the hand directing the viewer to the deformed brow and menacing gaze of the subject. I think this shot is a great exploration of the struggle people face with the construction of identity and their 'self'. The gaze of the subject appears cold and tired, and the tension of the hand over the face suggests anger and frustration, as if the subject has just recalled yet another moment in their life that has made them cringe, and want to rip apart their identity and be someone else. Excellent work
