You know, I actually feel like 'Darling in the Franxx', despite clearly being a knock off, was superior to 'Evangelion': because it actually wasn't treading water so much existentially that it failed to say its message; without a billion reboots, plus comics and video games. Also I liked Zero better than Asuka.
