The joke is fine! You know that the whole Prince thing is not a coincidence, when they were developing UMK3, Ed Boon was listenning to the purple rain song while driving to work, and that idea came out. That is why Rain is from a royal family too.

I think that idea for the conception is more funny that the whole ERror in MACros thing whit Ermac.

Also, I like your gallery TheKidIsGreen, I think that if you work more on the shadows you could come with a very cool style like Marcelo Frusin or Mignola.

I understand that if ever there was an obvious joke to be made it is acknowledging the fact Midway made a purple ninja called Rain, but I poked around DA and couldn't find a cartoon of the idea.
