W-Well, I've done a slow video of me trying to explain while I draw xD I figure it's easier but since I don't have a script and English is obviously not my first language, it's not a piece of cake haha. Even so, I figure this would help me with my talking skills :'D (though I speak a lot with my hands and this is clear here).

Anyway, Mara (who belongs to SunlessRose ) was helping us here. I hope despite my language barrier, I could help somehow someone that struggles with cross-hatching. I find it so fun to do tbh!

Plus, a little ASMR with the pen scribbling the paper, for those who enjoy it ^^

I had to cut the part where I talked about the shading of the face because I didn't add anything new and it would cross the limit of the length of videos allowed in DA. But I don't do much cross-hatching on the face, only on the part of the eye sockets or, if the character as a darker skin, I will use the same technique as in the hair, with the straight diagonal lines in a lighter way.

Here's the sketchbook page, in case you want to see anything in detail (and I suck at writing xD I accidently wrote ligh instead of light but you get it).
