My second acrylic painting and I couldn't be happier! I obviously still need to figure out how to paint in bigger canvas but I'm really proud of how this turned!

Ever since I saw this photo I've been envisioning this specific painting. I knew I wanted to do an interpretation with a mix of black and white and red (it's actually not pure black and white because I mixed a lot of reds in there but anyway xD). Painting always gives a feeling of relaxation, and, even though I was worried about giving justice to this tribute - especially because I seldom draw/paint horses - , I was still very calm and happy.

I really enjoyed using a spatula (I think that should be the right name? EDIT: palette knife is the right word haha) as a tool for painting the background. I felt like those pro artists, even though there's nothing pro about me or the way I do things haha. Anyway, this painting was worth the fact I almost ran out of white :'D plus, I really admire Indigenous culture and I feel deeply connected to it in a way I can't explain, so it was all worth it!!
