Ultramarine, our favorite flavor.So, for our Warhammer tabletop game, I play pink, white, purple Tyranids. Kyle, Unfortunately plays Ultramarines; so with my overactive imagination, I drew the leader of my fleet, the Hive Mother. And her, blaspheming the beloved U. War is nasty business. We've got her covered in some poisonous adrenalin sacks and eyes, while birthing Tyranid Maggots from an orifice in her head.
I like her, I think she's neat!

Well, been a while since seeing you lass! Definitely needed a fix of your artwork for some time now, my little claws desperately aching to type. ^O^
Keep forgetting that you play the game from time to time, heck would gladly challenge you with some Orks but I only have the one Warboss and Noz in Mega Armor.....oh well, WAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!
War may be nasty business but at least there's some eye candy to keep you from losing all your insanity on the battlefield, well kinda. ANycase the work on the tyranid queen shows well here from the way you show both the beauty and the disgust of something only them nids could do.
Must admit like how you went with making her figure very attractive and bug-like all in the same manner, that isn't easy. You can't scary away you fans but you have to be careful how you draw them and heck if a nice shade of purple don't do that, nothing will. Anycase the touch of her gross-out comes out quite well with the many eyes decorating her face and persona fav goes to the bug sprouting out from her head and the goo that drips down her, nice touch.
You play well the attraction for her not just showing senseless nudity but drawing in the way she innocently hold her Space Marine skull in a innocent manner or the tongue itself on how it wraps and twists its way around the U for the Ultramarines symbol.
Think best of the best is the way you color her skin kid. The white seems very chaos related to a sense of dead skin and its bleak look draws you more to your other colors from the ominous glow of her many eyes to the gruesome green that oozes its way across her head and face. Nice touch mean to added earlier the tentacles and the way you wrap them around the shot in the same manner you portray the extra bug parts of her.
Throw in a splattered and dark themed background and damn what a truly sadistic sight to see indeed. Dangerous, strangely charming and just plain awesome, bravo TheLadyJ.

She's pretty darn cool. The multiple eyes look really neat, and give that good alien-esque look to her! The green goop leaking from her really adds a good touch, I definitely would be afraid of her. Definitely a sweet design for a Hive Mother. <3
