Alek & Deryn (oh yeah, and Bovril the beastie too!) ~ the Leviathan series by: Scott Westerfeld (best books ever!!)pencil sketch coloured in Paint tool SAI
yeah they dont look too much like Deryn and Alek...
and evertime i draw them, they come out differently
pretty good for having to to recreate 1.33 of Deryn's feet in Paint tool SAI ( think so anyways)... my stupid sideways line art -.-
geh... Deryn looks kinda like she just took a swim in her cloths (that don't fit too well, especially the pants..)
oh well, maybe she was climbing the ratlines in the rain?

well, i was thinking about Deryn's brief biology talks with Alek (about the innerworkings of beasties,etc)when i drew this.
So this is Deryn doing just that. Giving a mini-speach about biology. Alek's face is like that because, being raised a clanker and all, certain things that Deryn says probably puzzle him.

I adore Leviathan so much I wrote a next-gen fanfic that is about to top 60 pages and is not even half done. It occurs after Goliath, during WWII.
