Here's a photo that I hadn't previously processed, captured almost exactly one year ago today. This grandfatherly tree is one of my local favorites. It's near an old backwoods mountain cemetery which dates back to the Revolutionary War (1775—1783) that's just a couple of miles away. Last summer I was hiking up there regularly.
