Description
When I heard the news that a new Star Wars movie was in production, I knew I had to create a poster, despite never having seen the original trilogy (blasphemy, I know...)Then last week, a rumor started (that turned out to be false) saying that Zack Snyder was planning a standalone movie inspired by Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai". That's when I decided on the simple concept of a lone Jedi standing in a field under the starry sky of a galaxy far, far away.

The lightsaber is the same length as the source photo.
I consciously chose to omit the "A long time ago" for the tagline.
I never used the word "fan" anywhere in the description. I just like to create posters when I have a concept in mind.

The poster definitely looks well executed, and your source photo might be the same, but what matters most is proportions.
If you watch the films (and you really should!) lightsaber blade length is generally around 3-4 adult heads long (give or take a little due to "movie magic"). In your image the blade is only about 2 heads long.

Those were as close as I could get for reference without perspective involved so it should be showing the closest to an orthographic view.

You're right, I can see the lightsaber length is a bit off. Now that you've mentioned it, it's the only thing I see on my poster haha! I might edit it.
Also, searching for Star Wars pics put me in the mood to watch the movies. I'm going to bite the bullet and rent the Special Edition Blu-rays this weekend and finally watch them! I'm pretty confident Disney will release the original trilogy untouched, but meh, why wait until 2015...
