Man, these ideas are awesome. Draw them on some dudes! Also, if one was to wear one of the gaunlets for prolonged periods of time would its effects last after removing it? Like would you still have mucusy bacterial skin after removing the disease one?

Well, basically, the gauntlet forms a mental and physical link with the wearer, so if he were seperated (and with most gauntlets, seperation comes solely through force), he'd
A) Be missing an arm as the gauntlet usually disolves the original arm
and
B) Go absolutely crazy trying to regain the gauntlet that had bonded with him.
Due to the deep physical link, he would have residual physical effects and abilities lasting anywhere from a few years to a few hundred centuries depending on how strong the bond was.
