"We Spared No Expense" I've always been a fan of Dinosaurs, and ever since I was probably too young for it to be good for me to watch, Jurassic Park, so this piece of amber containing what I believe to be a fossilized midge quickly reminded me of the fossilized mosquito from the movie.

This one was a fun challenge -literally. The amber fossil was given to me for the purpose of challenging me design-wise and stretching my abilities, and it definitely did a little bit of that. I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep things simple and make the amber and the setting into a pendant or go for a ring, but I'm glad I went the ring route in the end. Quite a few firsts going on here.
