I'd say go for it but the only problem is it rains... A LOT.
It was very hard to get sunny pics lol, and when it rains it downpours. I live in Vancouver, and I was complaining about the rain.
It is very beautiful tho, and the hiking trails are gorgeous. I was up there for five days and only covered about 15% of the trails. I'd recomend it to anyone, it is defenitly on my list of places everyone should go before they die. That and Senior Frogs in Puerto Vallarta

Well the mountain area I was in would be called Cathedral park, and it is in BC Canada. It's a few hours hike to get up to the valley itself, or you can pay 100$ round trip and they take you up in a jeep or a big military truck (You don't have to go back down at a scheduled time, you pay the 100$ and they take you down whenever you are done, remember to make reservations beforehand.)Β  Once you are up you can either pay to stay in a lodge, or you can set up for free in any of the campsites scattered around the valley. At this point you are now 1000m high and the mountain peaks all around you are easily accessible. I'd say it might take up to 3 weeks to cover all the trails if you are decently fit, but you should ask about that beforehand.

Senior frogs is an amazing pub in Mexico where the servers seem to be having as much fun as you are! The personality of the place is outstanding and they even play jokes on the customers. Overall Puerta Vallarta is an amazing city where the tourist area is mixed closely to old town mexico. It's a rich cultural experience where you will find wild iguanas in the trees around the markets, and not far off is Yelapa, a small fishing town that is only accessible by boat, and has absolutely beautiful scenery.

If you go down in the woods today your sure of a big surprise. If you go down in the woods today you better go inΒ disguise... and be sure to bring a flashlight and poor cereal into your shoes. Thats a must! XD
