Thanks it was a bit of a wrestle to get some things right on this one with the paintbrush, but I don't think that's too visible in the end result

Yeah, plus this is right before you start painting fully with paintbrushes, right? I'm not surprised, and I can't even tell that you had trouble.

Haha, thanks, I'm flattered yeah I only used paintbrushes on this one and I'm constantly picking up new techniques on how to be more proficient with them. Unfortunately the brushes tend to lag a little on my iPad when I'm drawing on a bigger scale.

Glad to hear you like this style never be afraid to try new techniques, I only recently picked up this style since I was getting tired of drawing with my old technique where I would just do the lineart and then color it.

No problem mat, glad to hear I've inspired you to try something new try out different styles and even if you don't end up liking the style you're experimenting with, I can guarantee that you'll at the very least find something to add to your old style. I personally like this style of drawing since it helps me maintain my flow while drawing, since it requires almost no erasing, whereas when I do lineart I tend to get stuck on little details and end up using my eraser constantly thus breaking the flow of drawing.

I would love to do this digitally, but I would need to get a tablet... I am pretty good with a mouse though... I have been thinking about taking up the use of pastels.

Ooh, I have massive respect for anyone who knows how to draw with a mouse, I for one can't draw with one at all. I personally have no experience with pastels apart from the few hours we toyed around with them in art class, though I as well considered starting using them when I was still drawing traditionally. I'd say go for it if you can find a good pastel set at a low price, since coloring can be really rewarding... And frustrating at time
