I guess there was a lot of light. The train traveled through many tunnels and somewhere along the way it dawned on me to shoot this. I actually had a second tunnel shot, but it didn't come out as well.
What I didn't mention in the comment was that I was traveling alone from Vancouver, BC to Montreal on my way back home after visiting a childhood friend who had moved to Vancouver.

It certainly was. That was the first time I felt like an adult - even though I was quite aware that it was only a preview.

I am old enough to remember pictures of the Canadian Observation cars in Trains Illustrated.Never lucky enough to visit Canada though. Thanks for the memories.
