Okay this is the almost completed version (I say that because I am a crazy perfectionist who can never truley finish a piece!) of a self-portriate I did for art. It is prism penicls drawn on a dark grey paper and I printed patterns with lavender on it before I started drawing. It actully looks like me, especially in the eyes, but I am still not satisfied with the chin. I am told it is beautiful but my horrible photo does not do it justice. this is a fantastic drawing, it looks like it's made of coloured crepe paper, meticulously stuck on piece after piece for 30 years by someone really dedicated. It has sunshine and mystery together, which is rare.

The texture in this is what really makes the piece. I'm not quite clear on how you made it, though-- you used lavendar to print designs on it, and then you normally went about the drawing with colored pencil? The picture makes it look like there had to be a lot more to it. I wish the preview image was larger!

Incredible texturing, this must have taken hours. Since I myself am a perfectionist I understand the stress and personal scoldings that we undergo when it comes to completing a piece. I've only seen the top of your face so I can't assert as to whether or not it looks exactly like you, but I like what I see so far! I think you captured your eyes perfectly
