Acrylic and gold ink on resin

I finally took some photos of this and put it together and now I can finally show you all the results! Painting this statue was one of my little art goals for the year so I'm happy I can at last upload some pictures here. The original brown statue was the one I bought (the picture at the top left-hand corner) and I thought I'd do a little experiment and prime it and paint it, and here's how it turned out! I really love those beautifully painted and colorful medieval poly-chrome statues, especially the ornate ones in Cologne cathedral , so I thought I would do something similar. I wasn't originally sure what color I wanted to go with for her hair, but then I decided on gold hair. However, the acrylic paint wasn't giving me the results I wanted, so I thought, "Well, when in doubt, add gold ink." That's my mantra and so far it's never failed me. I'm pleased with how it looks now. I'm planning on painting an even larger version of this statue in the future. I'm already started but so far I haven't finished, so stay tuned for that!
