Description
These ships are used by the Hegemony to round up new recruits for their cause.Many join willingly but the ship can also emit a beckoning call that can hypnotize the weak minded into showing themselves.
Along with standard artillery, the Slave Ship is also equipped with a sleep ray.

Thanks, That's one of my all time favorite movies.
I was thinking it would be cool to do an animation all in black and white.
Where the different depths in the frames make it look like a "Paper Universe".
Something that could be done with flash animation I think.

I had this crazy idea that the Hegamony would have flying Roman Slave Galleys with oars and gattling guns. I guess I must be coming around to your way of thinking with that concept.

Wow! the roman slave galley idea sounds way cooler. I think I see another military faction in the works! See, this is the kind of thing I'm talking about. One idea inspires another which turns into a thing on it's own.

Well for the Hegamony I kind of see them as a blend of WW2 fascists, Romans and Fallout3 Enclave. I think they should look less like renegade bikers and be more scary. Thats only my opinion though.

I try to imagine what you would still care about if you live for a thousand years.
It seems like life and death wouldn't matter as much.
The Roman look seems like it would really fit Heliopolis.
There the ones with the Death God temple and I was thinking of making the Tabernacle on of their ships.
I imagine them like Romans and Space Marines very honor bound to brutal violence.
I love the whole religious attitude to war in Warhammer.

Whats really strange is that Helipolis is an Egyptian City. (Greek named of course) I mean it literally means City of the Sun or City of Helios .Helios being the Sun in the Greek language. Depending on translations it can also mean Eye of the Sun too. You've definately thought about all this haven't you?

Yep, that's what inspired the name.
It's a hot place that just sort of bakes in the desert sun so it seemed to fit.
Plus it's a giant walled city like some in that era.
