To be honest, I always felt the show was a bit unfair to Heather at points. In the context of a reality show, she's not always being "mean" or "villainous" - just competitive and strategic. And after her supposed besties bailed on her, she deserves a little revenge.

I suppose. I mean, in the first season, she did treat Lindsay pretty abominably at times, or at least exploit her friendship.
She did mellow out later in the other seasons, so I'll give her that.
Y'know, Heather was my sister's favorite TD character? I always found that kind of funny.

As I said, reality show competitions effect things and made it seem like the smart decision to exploit Lindsay's friendship to Heather. She should've been less cruel and made it clearer that she still did value their friendship (which she did in the confessional once she made the Final Four) but her eyes were often too set on the prize for these things to occur to her.
