Personal
Personality
{ Charismatic // Naive // Altruistic // Optimistic // Pollyanna // Trusting }
>> Charismatic
adjective :: exercising a compelling charm that inspires devotion in others.
Renly just has a way with words. Usually he uses those words to convince people he's not worth fighting or beating up, which is useful since he usually finds himself in strange and dangerous situations. But even when he's not trying to convince others not to hurt him Renly just has a manner of speaking that's just, very nice. Honestly the best way to put this is that he has a really great way with words, unlike me.
>> Naive
adjective :: showing a lack of experience, wisdom, or judgment.
Although he's not young anymore, and he's traveled quite a bit and seen a good part of the world, he's still really naive about some things. Mostly this involves judging whether something is dangerous or not, or whether or not he should trust someone. He usually ends up doing said dangerous thing and then spends some time wondering why he did it. He tries to see it as a learning experience but, it's not. He never learns.
>> Altruistic
adjective :: showing a disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others.
Renly may be a lot of questionable things, but another area where he's also questionable in is his regard for others. I say he's questionable in this because he cares too much for other cats. Some people might not see this as a bad thing but Renly would readily put himself in extreme danger to help others, which may be heroic and nice but it's also.... not good for his personal health at all. But on the bright side he's a good cat!!
>> Optimistic
adjective :: hopeful and confident about the future.
Let's be real, life sucks. Renly may or may not already knows this, but if he does he tends to ignore it because he prefers to look on the bright side of things. And if there isn't a bright side, Renly just tries to stay optimistic about one showing up soon. Honestly, he just likes to live in the moments and believes that things will just "work out for the best in the end". Which doesn't always happen but whatever.
>> Pollyanna
noun :: an excessively cheerful or optimistic person.
Not only is he optimistic about life, he's pretty excessive about it. Which is fine I guess because he's never really anxious about anything and who wants anxiety right. But this is also bad because he's also never really worried about anything so he ends up either not seeing how bad a situation is or he just downplays it, again because he thinks things "just work out in the end".
>> Trusting
adjective :: showing or tending to have a belief in a person's honesty or sincerity.
Now the definition of this is believing in someone's "honesty or sincerity" but honestly, Renly would probably trust the shadiest person you can think of. And it wouldn't even take much for them to earn his trust. He just likes to think there's "good in everyone", but let's be real there isn't. And thus he ends up in weird situations cause he trusts weird people.

History
Kithood
Whisp was the only kit of the second litter his parents had. The first litter of kittens were 6 moons older than him and he didn't get much time to know them well at this age. All he knows is that one day something terrible happened to one of his siblings and that after that his other sibling went away. His parents didn't tell him why or what happened so he soon forgot about the incident or that he even ever had siblings. Until one night he heard strange noises in the dark, his curiosity grabbed a hold of him and he was soon wandering around in the dark forest alone. Unaware of his surroundings he could've easily been snatched up by an owl or fox and he probably would have had it not been for his estranged sister snatching him up instead. She took him in and took care of him, he never saw his parents after that night but he was sure they were alright. When he asked his sister about them she wouldn't say much so he soon forgot about them too, just as he had forgotten about the older sibling that he had once had along with his sister.
Life alone with his sister was just as it had been with his parents, to a point. His sister would make sure to keep an eye on him, even more so than his parents. If asked Whisp would say this is because his sister cares about him and she probably does. But she also had underlying reasons for this. He never asked though, he was too busy exploring the lands with his sister. One night he he noticed a strange marking on his sister that looked like a black fire-like marking. He asked her about it but she didn't say anything that he didn't already know. He already knew the stories of the Tribe cats with their powers but he never imagined that his sister might have been one. It was around that time that Whisp started noticing cats leaving the upper lands, he wondered why and asked his sister if they would follow them but she only said no to his inquiries. She had decided that he was too young for such a journey and that they could survive on their own like they were doing.
Adolescence
About two moons later Whisp was surprised to see cats begin to flood the lands he and his sister roamed. He would look at them from a safe distance and he one day noticed that they also had strange markings. Some were on their face in the shape of a grim smile, some had wings on their backs or star-like marks on their foreheads and he even saw plantlike or wave-like markings on the shoulders of some. But what really interested him were the cats with markings just like his sister. Although the markings were the same he noticed that the markings on those cat's were colourful rather than gray or black. At this time his sister had decided to join the cats, Whisp was unsure why but decided it was for the best if his sister had wanted to. At first he thought they would be together but was heartbroken to find out they weren't. He had turned six moon around the time the cats appeared and along with aging he had received a marking as well. That marking, a gray wave-like thing, decided what tribe he would be joining which was Water-tribe. Those cats all had markings like his and Whisp was surprised to see that his marking had now changed colour and become a bright blue. His sister had joined a tribe of cats that were able to control fire, which he thought was really cool! He was surprised to find out he had earned powers as well, along with his new name Renly. As a kit he had heard some tales of these cats but had never thought he would be one. And with that Renly began to feel a little more at home with his tribe, even feeling the he belonged there though he missed his sister.
Adult
> He joined the Tribes for a while, but eventually he didn't like the whole routine that was part of Tribe life so he left in order to travel.
> He travels around Neutrallands for a bit, but this gets boring so he ends up going north
> And he just... keeps going north, sometimes west, sometimes a bit northeast. He likes to mix it up every now and then
> Eventually he decides that he misses his sister though and decides to travel back down to the Tribelands, he still hasn't decided whether he'll go back to Water-Tribe or not but he'll do that eventually, or so he thinks.

Sullivan listened to the tom cat speak, a little disappointed in his answer but nonetheless it helped in understanding what exactly they maybe be up against. The theory of an underground creature was a certainly interesting one. He couldn't think of an underground creature that could cause a sound like that. Maybe a bird of some kind could? It didn't seem probable to the to though, birds were usually more higher pitched with their calls and had a more song like sound to their calls, as opposed to the low weeping they had heard. But who knows. Maybe it could be some kind of bird he never even saw or heard before. The russet tom continued his response and Sullivan was about to agree when the weeping started up again. This time more high pitched and more scream like than a weep. But still the same noise, Sullivan being able to tell that from the direction it was coming from, which was the same direction that the first sound had come from. Before so much as a flick of an ear the older tom was off, racing towards the sound of the noise as fast as his paws could carry him. His face hit leaves and branches as he raced through bushes. The running made seeing even harder than it already had been in the dim and gloom light, his surroundings zipping by in a flash. Determined not to let anything hinder him the Green-shadow activated his powers, the green smile that was usually just that stretched itself further along his jaws, creeping up into his eyes with a glowing light that softly illuminated the leaves surrounding him. His glowing green eyes glanced behind him for a mere second in search of the other cat to make sure he was following before glancing forwards again. His Primary Shadow ability allowed him to see bright as day now even with the lack of light, easing his trek towards the sound. His paws hit the ground hard, spraying dirt behind him as he raced faster, certainly not wanting to loose whatever creature this was now. That was when he realized that he was making such a loud ruckus that the creature was probably awaiting him, cautious for any movement and sound lurking in the brush heading towards it. Sullivan slowed, activating yet another of his powers. This time shadows engulfed all four of his paws, all sound coming from them stifled to nothing but silence. Being a Secondary Shadow may be better for offense but Primary Shadow's were better suited to lurking in the dark, blending in with the shadows around them and waiting for the moment to strike. And on the plus side once you were strong enough to you could teleport, which no one argues was a pretty cool thing to do. But he had no time to dwell on silly things such as whether or not Primaries were truly better than Secondaries or if it was the other way around because Sullivan was close. Close to the mysterious creature whose cry had sparked curiosity and fear in the tom. Each emotion heightened as he neared, taking small paw steps forward. His ears were perked forward, jaws open and ready to taste for any scents in the air. He swished his tail impatiently as he stalked forward and heard nothing. Perhaps he had been to late? The creature, whatever it was had gone away and left to do whatever things it had to do. But a growl from behind along with the strong scent of a creature he recognized. A deadly and dangerous creature he recognized. A fox. Sullivan whirled around, the surprise of being confronted from behind cause him to deactivate the power that kept the shadow around his paws. His night vision was still there, and with its help Sullivan could see the fox clearly. Its russet red fur, dark jet black legs and golden amber eyes full of anger. That wasn't all the tom saw however. The fox's left leg seemed to be hurt since blood was trickling down from a wound there. It was howling in pain then...I guess I’ll be howling in pain too along with it by the time it's done with me" Sullivan thought grimly as he backed up, his back arching and the fur along his neck and spine rising. A low growl rumbling deep in his throat as he unsheathed his claws.
