Description
The adventurer was walking in those endless caves from uncounted days, without any resource left. It stumbled upon a round shell. Then another. Then another. An array of grey shells reminding him of tombstones. One more step and the adventurer was served to the hundreds of Loucarcolhs.

Ecology
This small subterranean aberration slowly roams the underground corridors of caves and ruins. Loucarcolhs move together in groups of 50 to 300 individuals. They then proceed to bury themselves in the rocky terrain and prepare themselves for their next meal.
Loucarcolhs can extend a myriad of sensory tendrils. This silky appendages aid them in the dark to strike their unaware prey. If what they strike is revealed too much of a challenge for the loucarcolhs, they bury themselves further to escape or they withdraw themselves into their shells.
Their shell are a thing of wonder. They are almost impenetrable and can resit both phisical and magical attacks. However, damage from other sources, such as boiling water or acid, can still damage the loucarcolh from within. The shells can be sold at a high price in various underground villages, and at a even higher price on the surface. The shells can then be used to craft powerful super resistant armor.

Final Thoughts
I changed various parts from the original French myth. First of all the size: this one is cute and small. Secondly, the more draconic features were swept away in favour of a more simple, yet innocent-looking design. This was a small drawing for a small creature, but I liked it anyway. Next time I'll probably do something big.
