This thing has been eating up my free time for almost a week now. Finally it's done! (Sorta... I had meant for the water to come up around the rocks and the boy and stuff, but forgot until like ten minutes ago, and I didn't feel like going back and working on it anymore. XD ^_^;; )

ANYWAY: Introducing the main characters of my NaNoWriMo novel this year: Nameless boy, and nameless fish girl. XD Er, at least I think they both qualify as main characters. The story is centered around nameless boy, but nameless fish girl tags along with him for pretty much the whole thing. Chyeah, I should probably give them real names, huh? I'm working on it! At least I have a (possibly temporary) name for the book: "Misplaced". It's not much. But... whatever. XD This picture is of a scene that takes place at the very beginning of the book. The VERY beginning, like probably only a couple pages in or less. Eee, I'm so excited!

Um... what else to say? The ocean was fun to paint but doesn't look so great. Give me a break, I never painted an ocean before! Heck, I've never even seen one in person. Those rocks were a pain in the neck to color (all those tiny speckles...). The girl's feet are supposed to be flipper shaped and webbed and all that, but I couldn't figure out how to draw it from that angle. And if I draw her again, she'll probably have fins on her arms too... I'm pretty happy with everything else though. Especially their eyes, even though they aren't quite looking at each other like I'd been trying for. ^_^; Oh yeah, and fishgirl's clothes are supposed to look like they're made out of some kind of sea weed or something.

Well... there ya go. Maybe if I feel up to it, I'll draw pictures of the other few characters I have planned (but not named XD). *shrug* We'll see.
