This'll be a scrap later, but the few people watching me must know that Body Worlds--an exhibit featuring near-perfectly preserved, dissected human bodies--is the most awesome thing EVER. These are my favorite sketches from my time there, and it was fascinating from a non-artistic standpoint, as well. I thought that the museum of wax cadavers in Italy was awesome, but this totally trumps it. Freaking amazing stuff, even a fetus within the womb at one month (the mother died after one month of pregnancy, very sad, but her death gives us an amazing look at the human fetus). Go see it as soon as you can, assuming it's in your area. If not, they sell the catalogues at [link] , one of which I purchased at the exhibit. I have never seen a better refence for the insides of a human being than this.
