So. It has been a long run, fraught with the perils of schedule delays, work-life balance, and the temptations of MMORPGs, but here we are at the end. Many thanks to the judges and organizers for the premise we got to play in, especially for their kind understanding when things got the better of us. To my opponents, thank you for the characters you provided me to tango with, and the stories we got to tell together.
I raise a toast to you, for being awesome to hang out with in chat as well, and for having so many many questions answered. Cheers.

I've been trying to predict how this was going to end since our match, and...was barely 10% close to anything :"D It's definitely going to be close and for once, I do not envy the judges of this in the slightest.

Just like Team Kingdom at this point, I'm around - just very much in the background. And I guess the bigger question was what chat because it was only recently I realized how much the Discord one was being used. (Technically, I'm on Discord, but not often and not the Trinity server because link has been misplaced.)

Well, half of my headcanons get tossed out because they all depended on who you faced off. But I guess my overarching thought was that Vex would end up suffering, or at the least, not rewarded as he believed he would be for his Master's successful revival. The seeds of doubt were there with Vex's "ends justifying the means* M.O.. The other thought was if the two rituals going on at the same time, the result would leave them both cancelled out or some less than desirable result - like...random example...Tris having both summoned entities in his body. (Poor kid, but it was a prediction I had with him being essentially helpless)

Yeah, I read your Sidequest stuff relating to the Duchess in the past. Team Kingdom is still going places, albeit backwards in time. The front page of the Trinity OCT page has a link to the Trinity server, no worries there. It's definitely more active than Discord.
Gorbac's more of the nibbly one. Sivlis is like a scaly cat when it comes down to it.
The truth is, I can never stick to one storyboard. I get new ideas along the way, or during writing it drifts in a better narrative direction, and so forth, so it's fair to say that even I don't know where I'm going. One constant though: I never intended for Master K. to return exactly as intended (because S1 has been there and done that with revived dragons). I actually DID have an early concept where Master K and Arkhein ended up struggling for control in the same body, Pinky and the Brain style (but bye bye Tris, though). Another involved things getting violent between Vex and Sivlis.

Going places - but still can't say it'll be a good place until the plot concludes since time-travel. Still have to finish one final sidequest that...semi-involves your characters. You'll see as I rush to finish this. (And I'll try to be in the DA chat since the link to the discord is expired anyway)
Still wish Angelique could have petted Silvis before she lost her arms.
And I get that feeling. I try to not plot too far ahead in case plot events or RP open me to something else that may be more interesting - or lasting. Like Angelique having access to some brutal magic (Thanks Vex)

Oh man, I've no idea what the final sidequests entail, since I presume they only apply to the ones taking them. Was not expecting the time travel to be a thing, but I'm eager to see what you have cooked up. (About the time you posted is the time when people start popping in)

You'll be seeing them soon enough. Kind of upset I have taken longer than expected to finish this, but I have the plotline pretty much settled. Hopefully, it impresses. A couple of guest stars and such.
Blame Silvis for being too adorable, but Angelique's learned her lesson. Nothing without permission.
Well, she's had help with magic practice from Shade and being kind of having it a sole motivation for living makes her intense in studying. But if it helps Vex's pride, it's only certain spells she can use at this point. About 90% of the book she either can't cast or hasn't looked at. (They should meet in an epilogue depending on how everything turns out.)

Sivlis now has a meat wall to avoid pettings with. And Vex is... probably not going to be right for a while. Actually none of them are going to be right for a while, (or present, if MAR's becomes canon). Tricky business that.

it was an epic conclusion! I feel so much for everyone!!! I have so many favorite moments!
You did such a fantastic job with my characters sometimes I double take when I read this because it feels just like how I would have written them but in a totally different story!
I totally actually started yelling at my screen when Gorbac did the thing!
Can I note that the worst thing I ever had at a coffee shop was a drink with a deathly amount of cinnamon and SHARP GROUND UP SEEDS? Please we should all never let Baristastere near coffee again or maybe just caffeine to be safe!!

The Dragon Disciples have come a long way from RPG days, and it was nostalgic in a similar sense to comb through the progression of the Steamjunks from the S1 days of Lannyville.
May Lanny inherit all the Baristere franchises. He's welcome to it.
