OK, this would be much better if you dropped the cliche goth pretensions. You can be much more effectively emotional by using more subtle, less melodramatic means. The first mistake, IMO was applying soft focus. Leaving it in hard,s sharp focus would be so much more gritty and intense. The adding of the wings was pure foolishness. Are you trying to create self-parody?
I also suggest that you decrease the brightness and increase the contrast.
