Description The coat of arms of Taur Dromchla (adopted by consensus of the people), an Eilistraee-dedicated spiritual settlement in the southeast of Valdernia roughly, Kernodya Forest.

In Drow (Dhaurathiel?) language, Taur Dromchla means 'Forest Refuge'. It is translated/transliterated in Elven/Sperethiel as 'Thysaer Vaerendri', in Catarian 'Hoanrin'. For it is this, an oasis of peace in lake of green...

The hamlet/commune was founded a century and more at least by their leader (or more exactly mother and speaker), Lady Satora Invarida, then a young drow woman... In her adventures, she had found this region, quiet and peacefull, and with an huge clearing around (due to bad rocks and such). The idea of a settlement of peace grew in her head, and with discussion with the local Boyar, Yuga Bagdarajky, was allowed to settle her, and her kin and some homeless peoples.. It was hard work, but in time, they readied the land for the first harvest, build simple houses of wood, and the temple to their Goddess patron, Eilistraee, Exarch of the Moon Goddess...

The communauty grew a bit, and was added some more houses, more fields, a smith, a general shop, a tavern-inn... A travelling artist and hands worked on a lovely statue of the Goddess in the Plaza, and as Lady Satora aged, another, larger house was built for her as well, in thank of the good life she managed to build for everyone.

The peace was broken about 7 years ago though, with an 'invasion' of some.. hideous.. small monkey like beings of 'Chaos', who ravaged the fields, killed games, broken houses and killed a part of the inhabitants, perhaps sadly some insouciance of their isolation... Quick levy where made and money regrouped, and Sallian style wood and some stone fortifications where made, enough to help the ranger sisters and brothers defending the settlement.

The settlement's rules are open and quite liberal, communal living to a point, with a collective mind of help and help around.. The credo of the Goddess is common to everyone, if at least a general golden rule of goodwill (anyone of good will indeed is open to stay here, albeit the humble, down to earth living is clearly NOT for everyone, and place limited). 100 or so persons, 200 max in high seasons and pilgrims on, ceremonies...

Notable inhabitants are Nathua, elven niece (by wedding alliance) of Lady Satora and her personal help, a shy, 'nerdy' blonde cutie, and Mara, Priestress of the Goddess and Adventurer; visits more or less frequently Sarri Warthorn, (green) Orc friend of Mara and fighter, and sorta friend of Mara Leyra'La Isto Cryso, Rogue drow from 'down under'.

Come to visit! The food is nice, the peoples friendly and peacefull!
