i got to ask you....:what do you to do these?
if ps cs4 or 5 or 6...stop trying to do complicated stuff....just whatever looks elegant..idk black/white or any other colours that work together and the text looks very elegant
keep trying and you will get it right

Yours is:

Too big,
Words arent centered,
icons don't really match up
doesn't look or draw attention in any way,
black background,

Just some things Look at his pieces, try and create small canvasses with the messages centered. Also make good use of colors, these draw attention. Colors like blue/red/green/pink etc. draw everyone's attention, it's natural for the human eye to respond to that color. Why'd you think dA made the submit comment / add comment button blue?
