Description
The flag of Liechtensteiner North America was adopted in 1966, just a year before the country’s 100th anniversary. It features a horizontal tricolor of red, white and blue. Red and blue are taken from the national flag of Liechtenstein, and symbolize the sky and the sun, while white stands for the snowy landscapes of the region. In the center stands the national coat of arms featuring the national animal, a polar bear, and the Liechtenstein princely crown, symbolizing the country’s status as a dominion of the Principality of Liechtenstein.
