Aw c'mon!  Be proud of your country's achievements!  Put that shuttle on top of an An-225!

Seriously, someone really should build a modified AN-225, and a Pegasus-like launch vehicle to operate from it.

In 1991 we had joint effort with BAe. British wanted launch modified HOTOL (called Interim HOTOL, with russian rocket engine) from An-225.

I see the airbrakes on the carrier; coming in for a landing after a ferry flight? Also, lovely technical and art design!

I love the wing tips. Supposedly those are used to disperse vortexes that the wings create. I'm a little surprised by the flaps being used though. Normally, those would be used for breaking purposes, which is contrary to the concept of piggybacking the shuttle.

Love the surrealistic sky and the stylized border/signature box. Very cool concept overall.

About flaps and spoilers - let imagine, that this one approaching to runway - descent on glidepath - sometimes spoilers for precise control in this stage of flight.

hmmmmmmmmmmm... I don't know. But, as you say, "let's imagine"

To explain: I agree flaps (and elevators, ailerons, and spoilers) would be used to control their decent on glidepath. I am just wondering why the shuttle is still piggybacked onboard. I would think the mother vessel would only be used for taking the shuttle up, but "for coming back down too"??? Scary!
However, I get too wrapped up in trying to make sense out of what is just a creative, spot of fun. It looks cool, interesting and creatively done, that should be enough.

How about it's doing an aerodynamics test flight/system check?

meh. It could be. I suppose it could have also had a malfunction during launch for it to return back to earth as it went up.
