The DC-10 is the most infamous plane.

With the passenger cabin stretching as far back as it does, airlines will need a crane to remove the upper engine (this is doable, I think.) The Airbus patent imposes too great a weight penalty--the Trident/727/YaK-40 and 42/Tu-154/L-1011 installation was ideal for a trijet.
I like the paint scheme.

Trijet DC-10, Boeing 727 and L-1011 (and three russian designs by Tupolev and Yakovlev too) proven in flight with same engine placement above aft fuselage. So, it's normal for fleet consist of more than thousands planes)

good idea. would make it much easier to re-engine later in it's service life..the new engines could be larger or smaller, and it would be simple to adapt.

A simple change of tail can make a better plane a lot. xD

Ну ми позвемо досвічених механіків по горищу, які мали справу з Ан-72 чи DC-10)))

Більшість з них вже на пенсії.
Хоча, на АНТК ще мабуть ремонтують Ан-72\74.
