Description The XL-581 is a piston twin general aviation aircraft. This one also incorporate two wing-mounted pusher, as a lot of my previous design. V-tail Bonanza style slightly reduce drag. Mid-wing config also reduce interference drag, so all feature suggest - this bird born for speed.

as did the german ju-86 high altitude recconaisance aircraft


one of the nice things about modern aircraft diesels is that they happily run on JET A-1 (which has become way more easily available than AVGAS) and that they use less fuel per distance (the fuel has higher power density than AVGAS and the engies also run a bit more efficient) - this counteracts the slightly higher weight of the engnie itself ..
