My very first playthrough was actually as a healer romancing fenris - then third act wiped out her entire life and thus I decided to start tinkering more with my Hawkes....
To be honest all my playthroughs started kinda nice and then my characters just started spiraling out of control. It happens a lot. Eval, my latest Hawke, is the one who got it worse, since I had long understood that DA2 was a story about loss, and in no way about victory nor being a champion of the just. He ended up being the representation of all the flaws my previous playthroughs had, so along the lines of Morrigan he thinks the mages trapped inside the Circles are practically another race, that he's superior because he managed to remain an apostate since the day he was born, and since he was essentially Malcolm's pet he thinks way too highly of himself and can't deal with failure - which, in a context like da2, is a terrible flaw to have. Since I had been reading lots about mental disorders too I essentially forced a couple of them on him, so... there's that o.o he's probably the oc I've treated most badly, that's why I hope da4 will be a tad more peaceful for him I don't know if Tevinters have winter chalets or something but I truly hope Dorian and him could have the possibility to be away from whatever Solas (and Bioware) might be planning next.
oh my- yes, this hawke is totally narcissistic enough to do that ^^ to be honest I thought that people could "fly" by pressing the blood against their feet and project themselves into the air, but it got kind of ridiculous really fast so I kinda dropped that idea for now... too much Tony Stark-ey. Although I would like to see more applications for blood magic. it always feels like blood mages are just minibosses throughout the entire saga (I remember a couple of sidequest in origins were really tough, but for example during Inquisition I was kind of expecting a blood mage controlling part of a land in a kind of tyrannic way. it's true that there was the quest to get the allegiance of the mages in redcliffe that resulted in time travel shenanigans, yet it's not really what I was thinking about. Maybe I like to think too much that blood mages can be in control of the situation - most of the time in Kirkwall people turned into abominations anyway. Even Orsino kind of messed up in the end :/)

it's not really for flying... it's more for carrying blood around a battlefield, especially when there are templars involved. It could truly be in any shape, this one just looked edgy enough to suit him

Oh OK thank you. But being able to fly with those would look badass as hell. Plus if he can manipulate blood like that can he fly by just manipulating his own blood?

I wouldn't go that far because canonically blood magic has a whole other purpose, but yes, you're right. Tbh I thought that 'flying' would be easier if mages could just haul blood underneath their feet and use it essentially as a flying platform or something like that...

Uhm no xD sorry I thought you were in the Dragon Age fandom- essentially this is my player character in one of the games and blood magic is a type of magic that consumes blood instead of mana and is used against the templars because they can stop mana flow (so if people use blood the templars' powers are essentially useless). Canonically it is mostly used to fuel spell offensively, but people have suggested that since blood magic focuses on controlling blood, it could be used for other things such as controlling the blood flow of someone injured, using thus blood magic to heal people and such.
