What started out as an attempt to speed drawing ended up as a full coloured fanart with its own fanfiction like context

So, the scene opens with Bumi in his early thirties being granted a well deserved vacation from the United Forces and going back to Airtemple Island after a year of absence. There is then Kya, from her room at what will soon become Zaofu getting ready to also go back home to see her elder brother and the rest of the family. I have this headcanon that Kya and Su travelled together for a while, became close friends despite the age difference and when Su decided to create her own city, Kya was there with her during the early stages, gave some nice ideas and even had her own fancy room (which she still does, but the room has since then been moved to her own apartment in the city).
Back to Republic City, Tenzin is anxiously waiting for his brother and sister to come back, knowing he'll have to entertain the both of them, hoping to show them how important he's becoming in the affairs of the city. Katara is so happy to finally have her family all in the same place after such a long time and Aang, although he's sharing his wife's enthusiasm, is hoping they'll all get along this time and no argument will tarnish the family reunion.
