Description Fallen Angel asked me to do a set of glass swords, this being the first (Sealed) of three sets. The work is quite interesting, I'm learning a ton about transparency, refraction, and Fresnel shaders. Fresnel effects appear on more then just glass objects. The appearance on water, for example, is that when you look straight at the surface of the water, you see *into* the water, but if you view the water at a sharp angle, you see a reflection *off* the water. You get a similar effect on glass; looking at a glass orb, you will see through the center, but reflections off of what you see as the "edges".

I did not make the wolf in the background; Fallen Angel gave me a link to the wolf wallpaper, and assures me I'm allowed to use it, at least for non-commercial uses.

For those of you not familiar with Bleach:
A Zanpakutou is a sword with the ability to change appearance and powers proportional to the power of the owner. The unreleased sword is what it looks like when carried. When the user wishes to fight with more power, it can be "released" to Shikai form (Japanese, shi-, first, and -kai, release). If the user can become even more powerful, they achieve a Bankai (ban- meaning second), which is considered the highest attainable level of power.

Mirrored surfaces are all throughout all of my work. Turning them blue would be a matter of changing the color from gray to blue.

So you're back to taking requests again?

I only agreed to two more, one because I wanted to work with a lot of glass and Fresnel shaders, one because it was a book and I've never done anything like a book before. So... Yes, but only if it's something really unique.

I draw plenty of exotic weaponry; surely something in my gallery could be considered unique enough.

Er, I guess I should have been more specific. I meant unique from a modeling / texturing standpoint. For example, Fallen Angel's stuff uses a lot of glass, which I do almost none of. The next one is a book, which I can honestly say I've never tried anything like it, and have no idea what to expect there.

Swords can come in any shape, and it's a lot of menial point-shifting to make swords that have crazy complicated shapes to them. Even if the appearance is unique, if there's no specific skill from an artist's standpoint required to make it (like using Fresnel effects, or trying to texture bending pages of a book), I'd really rather just finish up the requests I have and and then get to work on some assets for my friend's game.

Ever done a cobalt blue mirrored blade before?
