once again u succed in amazing me thomdeluca. this thing is frikkin sweet,what program do u use to make these, i wanna get it.
i honestly cant find anything wrong with this sword, and im an expert (i use weapons alot to perform combat shows, and the weapons are usually on fire so we have to know what we r dealing with lol)

Well, they do have one minor flaw. They have no flaws. They would be better with scratches, dents, rust, and discolorations in places. That's kind of the line between fantasy-looking swords and real-looking swords. I've got to finish up a few more requests from various people, but then I want to work on something that I'll put a bit more detail on. Something that looks like I dug it up from a Roman ruin and took a photo of it.
I use mostly LightWave 3D, by Newtek. LightWave gets me the basic geometry and general surfacing, and some of the larger details. I've just started playing around with ZBrush, which is perfect for adding all those little details. They're also both quite expensive.
I haven't looked at it personally, but some friends of mine say Blender is a good 3D program to try out for a starter, since it's somewhat simpler, and free.
