Er...don't ask why he's dressed like Matt; I drew this while watching TV last night, so it's pretty random. XD;Near is from the anime/manga Death Note, and belongs to Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata.

No doubt. He doesn't strike me as the kind of person who's sampled any drugs/tobacco/alcohol. I think he would see it as a weakness, being addicted to those kinds of things.
I'm thankful everyone in my house is quitting, I HATE the smell of cigarettes!

I too hate the smell of cigarettes. Unfortunately my boyfriend's parents smoke, so I get to smell them a lot when I visit. *wrinkles nose* Fortunately, he doesn't like the smell either, so he keeps his door closed and the sell doesn't get into his room.
It'd be interesting if Near liked Matt to see whether he would start associating the smell of cigarettes with him or would try and make him quit. XD;

Yeah, mine too. This one has a lot of stuff in it, but I'm trying to keep it a oneshot. I might have to submit it in parts on deviant, since it can't seem to support a whole lot of pages, it should be fine one FanFiction though.
I imagined a seen where Near saw a boy that reminded him of the people he grew up with, and it took off from there.

Yeah, that's normally how it starts. I just saw the scene really clear in my mind, and I had to write it down, and it took off from there.
You should be seeing it soon, tell me what you think. Because it's 'me', there are fantasy undertones, so I hope that I haven't bored you with all the monsters and magic that's normally featured in my work. This one's a little more mature than the others, so I hope I don't offend you with some of the things that I have in there.

Hehe; fantasy themes don't bug me, and as for more mature themes, I'm not worried--I don't think you're the type to write anything mature in there without some reason behind it so I'll enjoy the fic regardless.
