I'm very jealous of your 500mm lens. 
I think a bit more space on the right-hand side of the frame would make the shot feel more balanced though. It just feels slightly too tightly cropped on that side, at least to me.
But a nice shot anyway. She is beautiful.

It's actually my brother's, but I use it more than him.
Well, there was actually a white fence in the way (she was grazing in a horse pasture). So I HAD to crop it.

I was in my truck, and I had my brother's telephoto lens. Some deer around here are used to seeing humans, and don't feel that threatened if you just stay inside your vehicle.
This one was actually inside a horse pasture!

What is a telephoto lens?? Sorry... I'm camera clueless. Is it like a super zoom? I have deer around my house too... Lots of them. They hardly come near the house though. Glad they don't though... they can give horses moon blindness!

I believe its possible for any horse. Usually its caused when a deer drinks out of a horses water trough.
