I don't think I ever put so much effort in taking 'just' a picture of a specific species.For this beauty I travelled many hours, I patiently waited for ages, I got disappointed and found new energy...and then...finally.....when the light had almost gone....he posed for me.
So yeah....just a bird on a pole.....but a little more than that for me I guess

I love the way the colours match the backdrop. It gives a real natural sense of camouflage. Great eyes too. Owls always look annoyed!
