Who can influence the number of favs? Nobody. People fav what they like even when it's not art after a certain standard. Believe me, there are shots arround here with thousands of favs and we just can't see why it has to be so.

well i think its sad that on DA you see that most people dont take it seriously and fav things such as cat picture and nothing like paintings on which someone worked for weeks. DA is about people showing their Art, and i think its no good place to let people see your pets. when i posted this, i got like five comments on it, of people who want to convince of that cats are art, but im just giving my opinion.

A cat itself is just cute and cuddly and awsome but not actually art. But you CAN photograph a cat in a very artistic way as you can do with humans, too.

Ah. Maine Coone-type cat. She'd be the same type of cat as my own - though, she probably isn't his exact breeding (he's Maine Coon/Amercian Curl).
I love Maine Coons. <3
But they're big cats - can get up to 11-12 kg/25lbs and 40 inches/1 meter feet in length. They're natural hunters and they have webbed paws (if you ever get close enough you could check that out - there's webbing between the toes). And yes, they - over most other cats I've known - have a very regal attitude... and they're wonderfully loving and playful. Great pets.
She has the same look Oreo gets in his eyes when we try to photograph him... did she bob her head at all?
Anyways - now that I'm done spurting infor about that type of cat, I'll say that the picture is quite lovely and the lighting gorgeous. Ah, the outdoors.

They are very similar but it think it's a Norwegian Forest Cat... Maine Coons have the tufts on the ears.

It could actually be either - the majority of Maine Coons anymore actually don't have the tufts of fur on their ears. Purebreds, possibly - but not all. Ie: Oreo, since he's part American Curl, does not have the tufts. Of course, that could also have been a recessive trait brought out over time. Not all Maine Coons have the tufts, though.
-shrugs- Either way - they're exceedingly similar felines, so I don't think it matters all that much.
